going home......

I often fear that no one enjoys reading my entries. I am not as witty and creative in my writing as compared to my should-be-a-director-commrade wee wee and basically my standard of english is just slightly higher than the average hongkie who due to their 9-tone mothertongue, speaks all other languages in strangely high-pitched and akward accent. But then i decided i cannot continue living my life always trying to impress everyone.
Hence, i have to face reality even if it means i cannot impress anyone.
So what if i am shifting out of my sea and tsing-ma-bridge-facing apartment?
So what if i will be moving to old, grey and crowded Tai Kwok Tsui when i return to HK?
So what if i am taking Chin@ airlines bac to singapore?
So what if I am going home and no longer having the glam status of "working in d!sneyl@nd"?
Fortunately, God helped me realise that reality isn't that bad. I'd spent a happy 11months in this wonderful apartment besides those unfortunate occassions where i had to talk VERY fiercely to my paranoid landlord. My first ever apartment-renting experience also helped me realise that most landlords in hongkong are paranoid. Tai Kwok Tsui is right in the centre of Hong Kong where u can easily travel to most places fairly quickly. Eg. Reach Tsim Sha Tsui by train in 10 mins. And rainbow is going to renovate the whole house. New paint, new floor, new furniture etc. The wooden flooring alone is going to cost more than SGD$2k! And he even promised me my raindrops-falling-on-my-head shower-head! What more can i possibly ask for? Nice neighbours?! ha. China airlines is not bad at all, seriously. Just that Ch!na's management ruined the name previously. The T@iwanese now run a wonderful airline and it is just as safe/unsafe as any other airline. I am indeed not the glam expait workin in HKDL anymore, but clearly, that's not the end of my life?!
Lingjiejie's visit has been a great blessing and made preparation for going home much easier. Spending quality time sharring with lingjiejie just made me realised how blessed i am to have friends who cares for me even when i am away. Pastor's sermon last sunday also reminded me that everything we possess comes from God and we should not brag about them, neither should we worry about losing them. Whatever God takes away, he is in another way, multiplying.
Spent the entire afternoon looking at bathroom tiles, wooden flooring, door locks, shower heads etc. with rainbow. Seriously i don't know what is going to happen during this 1 month while i am back at home. But i trust that God will keep our hearts together even though we are apart. Let my faith not waver for i know that God does keep His promises.
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Mattew 6:33,34

happie birthday to rainbow

Rainbow turned 31 on Sunday, 9th October.
To celebrate this happy day, Miss Chin cooked famous Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice!
Miss Chin used her secret Hainanese Chicken rice pack from homeland Singapore to create the unique traditional flavour for the rice. The other key to her success is evidently her 64HKD (~$14SGD) boneless chicken thigh (serves 2-3) she bought from the "tai-tai" supermarket C!tySuper. Chickens sold in local HK markets are usually very fat so i had to chose the expensive chicken flown in from Australia. Fortunately there was a 30% discount! What can possibly make a tai-tai happier than seeing nice succulent chicken on discount!? Finally, there was a very helpful online recipe which u will find on the link below that contributed greatly to Miss Chin's success!

Both of us ate and are happily in good health so not to worrie. hahaha.
Thanks to my sis who participated in the trial run of my first attempt to cook chicken rice last wednesday. She gave me a lot of courage and faith to do it after finishing all the chicken rice i cooked and hence i had no dinner that night. *aow*
Sis is now lying in the hospital. (not becos of my chicken rice lah!!) *ROAR* Hope her ear gets better soon. Perhaps i'll bring her some dinner later. She had to take yucky hospital food for the past few days. Wanted to visit her over the weekend but she thinks it is weird to bring rainbow to the hospital on his birthday. Then i came down with flu and was bed-ridden myself. Hmm... shall quickly finish this entry and visit her with basket-ful of goodies...like little red ridding hood visiting her grandma. hmm.. does that mean my sis would turn into big bad wolf?! muahaha..
2 more days to go before lingjiejie arrives! though i have had many friend visit me over the past year, i am still very excited about catching up with ljj. Our meetings in Singapore had been very brief and always in a rush as i always had to run from stages to stages like those qi-yue ge-tai singers in fancy bright costumes, difference being i didnt wear those costumes lah.
9 more days before i move out of this apartment which has been my home for the past 11 months. Those who had spent time here would know what a lovely place this is and it wouldn't be easy to forget the view, the fresh air and the crazy dog that once shared my bed. Still, moving out also means moving on. I give thanks for the wonderful memories this place has left me and the opportunity for me to share this with those whom i loved so very much.
Life is good.
